Discussion about Costa Blanca - Viaje A Prantía
OwerSpeed
Reputedly, this is the rarest of all Spanish 1970's prog albums, with only 400 copies pressed. Could be true, as info on the LP is very scarce. Without a doubt, this is the finest Spanish jazz-rock album I've encountered to date. Think Perigeo, a bit of Weather Report, a touch of Iceberg (before they got too fiddly), with some obvious Spanish cultural references, top quality musicianship and many ideas all of their own. The only musician that seems to have continued after this is the drummer Pedro Barceló (seemingly still active today) and this album features a lengthy drum solo by him.
