6 CDs (1 to 5 presenting the Symphonies, and 6 featuring an Interview with John Eliot Gardiner) packaged in two multi-chambered black-tray plastic "fat box" jewel cases: case one housing CDS 1, 2,3 (Symphonies 1-6) and case two housing CDs 4,5,6 (Symphonies 7-9). Case one cover sleeve depicts a younger Beethoven, case two cover sleeve depicts an older Beethoven. Includes a 42 page booklet, notes in English, and a white cardboard (CD case sized) insert. Comes with a cardboard slip case with a photograph of John Eliot Gardiner on front sleeve.
Note: "Fat box" jewel case one shows 3 discs on spine, "Fat box" jewel case two shows 2 discs on spine (while actually there are 3 counting the Interview disc). Documentation on the back inlay sleeve of jewel case two suggests two discs in the case, making no mention of the enclosed interview disc. But the box set is a 6 CD set.
