High quality audience recording from Cradle of Filth's first real USA tour ("Scars and Stripes") in 1999 in support of 'Cruelty and the Beast'. The recording is from August 2nd, 1999, Columbus, OH and the quality is especially clear/powerful, with very little noise from the crowd. Sounds almost like a soundboard source at times. Limited to 200 copies and a worthy artifact for COF fans who remember the earlier days.

This is often advertised as a "soundboard recording". But as the notes here clearly state, it is not. It's a good enough quality recording, however, to be worth your time. Let's face it, you're not buying this unless you're interested in their sound from that era and if that interests you, you wont be disappointed. Expect a pleasurable listen, definitely, but don't expect anything professional or soundboard mixed. However, considering how their recent live releases have sounded, this is better. It doesn't suffer from that dry modern soundboard sound which tend to thin out the guitars and extreme vocal styles to a point of sadness. This one's for fans of the old days, but its not just a collector's item, it sounds great for what it is (NOT a soundboard recording).
